Our Man in Japan
May 5, 2009
When people leave The Ramey Agency for a “better” opportunity, it’s got to be pretty special. In John Parker’s case, he was offered the chance to follow his fiancee, Cassidy Kemp, to Yokosuka, Japan, where she now teaches English at the U.S. Naval Base there. As an Art Director and Web Designer at Ramey, John had quickly become an integral part of the agency, known for his strong work ethic and snappy outfits. In this case, rather than consider John’s move an end to the relationship, Ramey considered it a new beginning. After only a couple weeks, John (now known as Parker-san) has begun taking on regular freelance assignments, especially in Ramey’s rapidly growing web specialty. It turns out that John’s new address on the other side of the world offers huge advantages since, on any given day, work on web projects can now literally happen 24/7. So no matter how tight the deadline, Ramey clients can sleep peacefully knowing that on the other side of the Pacific, Parker-san is on the job.
